Review: February Ipsy Glam Bag

Although I'm never overly fond of themed bags (and definitely ones that arrive after the holiday has passed), I actually really enjoyed Ipsy's February "The Look of Love" Glam Bag.

POP Beauty Plump Pout Mini in "Peony Petal"
At first I wasn't too crazy about this. I tend to avoid lip glosses like the plague. Too sticky, too shiny, too weirdly flavored. I tried to put aside my bias to give this a go though and was pleasantly surprised. It had an interesting smell (something along the lines of vanilla) and settled into my lips well. The shade suited me immensely and it had a very impressive lasting length. I may need to rethink my "No lipglosses ever" stance.

Zoya Nail Polish in "Odette"
Probably my favorite item from this past month's bag, "Odette" is downright gorgeous. I've learned from past experiences that you need a base or white bottom coat for darker Zoya polishes as they tend to stain your nails. Besides that flaw, I have nothing but good things to say about this shade. It's opaque, lasts a decent amount of time, and gets a lot of compliments

First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay
I was excited to see this included in the glam bag because I hear missglamorazzi talk about this brand time and time again in her videos, but never really thought to purchase anything myself. This cleanser was just lovely. I haven't full developed my thoughts on it yet though as I try to stick with one skincare routine predominately in order for my skin not to freak out. I'm definitely going to keep testing it out and developing my opinions.

Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base In One in "Ambrosia"
I just wasn't crazy about this product. Anything eye shadow related that has a lip gloss applicator has me scrunching up my nose. I must be an eye shadow prude or something. I find this method messy and limiting. The shade is pretty enough though and I want to still try and use it in one form or another, but using it the way they intend to just annoys me.

J.Cat Beauty Eyelashes + Eyelash Glue
Another product I was super excited to get because I've been wanting to start figuring out false eyelashes. They were a little thick and full for my taste, but even worse was the glue. It was so disgustingly gloopy and crusty. I definitely didn't get a fresh glue. Ewwwww. I hope others had better luck than I did.
