Drugstore Haul

Let me explain. I went to the beauty aisles of Meijer because I had a coupon for $2 off my favorite foundation. Then there were loads of buy one get one 50% off tags that sucked me in. This haul was definitely an accident and I was already feeling guilty over it by the time I got to the register to check out with the rest of my groceries when I saw that the person who used the self check out before me left their coupons in the coupon machine. As I ripped them off the coupon machine I spotted a gift from the beauty gods, a coupon for $4 off beauty and cosmetics. Score. The guilt vanished.

Neutrogena is a brand I haven't really explored before so I picked up the 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes Broad Spectrum SPF 20 ($8.99). I'm always looking for something to de-thrown the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Although I love it dearly, it's so very expensive. We'll see if the Neutrogena one can compete. While looking at the Neutrogena display the Healthy Skin Glow Sheers Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($10.99) caught my eye. With spring and summer (eventually) arriving, I'm interested in finding some lighter offerings to use on days where I don't want to wear foundation. I'll keep you all posted on my findings!

Not sure how I ended up in the Revlon lips section, but I was nuts about berries that day apparently. I caved and picked up a ColorBurst Matte Balm in "Sultry" ($8.99) after hearing all the positive blog posts about the new line. I'm still on the fence about lip crayons but I'm hopeful. There was a buy one get one 50% off offer for Revlon lip products so I scooped up the Color Burst Lip Butter in "Berry Smoothie" ($7.99). For someone who initially didn't like the lip butters, I now own quite a few. I've already tried this one and it seems a bit too sheer for what I was hoping it would be. Maybe I'll layer it over something else.

What products have you picked up recently?

xoxo Kayla

  1. I don't think you can go wrong with the Revlon Matte Balms - I was hesitant to give into the giant-lipstick-crayon hype too, but I'm so glad I did!

  2. The Nutrogena products sound lovely, wish they sold them in the UK. I have Berry Smothie too, such a pretty shade for S/S. The Lip balm looks lovely too.
