Favorite Beauty YouTubers

Ironically enough I started getting into YouTube and watching beauty gurus before I knew about the blogosphere. I started my own channel ions ago and long before I ever considered making my own beauty blog. I've watched my fair share of beauty videos, and these are my favorites.

I think it's safe to say that the first beauty videos I ever watched were by JuicyStar07. I specifically remember this video back in 2009 where Blair did a makeup collection tour. It's been amazing to watch her grow up and become so incredibly successful. Sure I miss her old school videos back when she was in high school, but I've been enjoying watching her newer videos in her lovely new condo.

I'm just going to start off by saying I have the world's biggest girl crush on Estée. Everything that follows will be completely biased and filled with gushing love for this girl. Estée is from Canada (and has a healthy obsession with Tim Hortons) and lives in England with her boyfriend Aslan. She's quirky, she's funny, and she's real. A lot of beauty gurus leave out a lot of their personality in their videos. They get to the point and keep moving, Estée is completely and totally herself and it's wonderful. Pretty sure we'd be best friends.

I don't really remember when I started watching Rachhloves videos, but it was after she got married and before she had her daughter Julia (like when I started watching matters all that much to you!). She's another really down-to-earth fun YouTuber whose style is very relatable. She has a really great way of editing her videos as well where she'll zoom in a tad if she's being quirky or off topic. I really wished she vlogged!

Leighannsays is downright hilarious. I actually find myself laughing when watching her hauls or tutorials. She's one of the YouTubers I watch that helps to push me to try new or bolder looks (and to add more volume to my hair). She has a really unique fashion sense that I'm envious of as it's something I wish I could pull off!

Jenn is probably the coolest, hippest person I'm aware of existing. She has a fashion sense that is constantly blowing my hind. She'll wear a giant over-sized furry coat and rock it. I watch her videos more for inspiration to explore my own personal style over hoping to find pieces to purchase. Most beauty YouTubers have me itching to buy new products, but ClothesEncounters has me envious and wishing I could be as cool. Jenn seems super sweet though which rounds the whole channel out in a mixture of incredibly bad ass but sweet.

Who are your favorite YouTubers to watch?

xoxo Kayla

  1. I love this post! I am getting into vlogging and youtubing myself, so it is nice to hear what draws you to certain channels. The only one I am subscribed to right now is essiebutton (Estee) and I agree, she is awesome at what she does! Thanks for recommending these channels, I am seriously going to go subscribe to all of them. My favorite beauty youtubers are Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter, Zoella, Missglamorazzi, Tanya Burr, Jaclyn Hill, and SO many others :)

  2. I haven't heard of the last two, will definitely be checking them out!! Thanks for the recommendations, as always :D

  3. I love Essie and Leighann too! Great post, thanks for sharing :D

  4. I love Rachel. I used to be subscribed to Estée but I got bored of her "quirkyness".
