March Favorites

March has come and gone and it was a whirlwind of unwanted snow and work stress. Can it be spring yet? My goodness. I tried to keep the beauty shopping down to a minimum this month (at least until recently) so I did a good deal of stash shopping and rediscovered a lot of old favorites. The Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette ($28) has been out of the eye shadow drawer and on my lids a lot this month. I've been sweeping "Walk of Shame" all over the lids and to my brows and contouring with a mixture of "Naked 2" and "Faint" for some definition. When I'm looking for an even simpler eye look it's been nothing but Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Metal Eye Shadow in "Barely Branded" ($6.99). The light shimmery wash of color just wakes me right up and gives the illusion I've gotten more sleep than I have.

I've been patting Revlon's Photo Ready Cream Blush in "Pinched" ($12.99) onto my cheeks a lot this month but I know we'll be inseparable once spring actually hits and I start to get some sun. For skincare I've been using Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins ($39.50) to put just the right amount of moisture back into my skin. I'm trying to transition it with the (slightly) warmer weather so I won't be an oily mess from over-moisturizing when the warmth actually arrives.

My hair has been nusto this month. I still haven't no clue why it became a static ball of gross, but reintroducing OGX's Thick & Full Biotin & Coollagen Root Boost Spray ($7.99) back into my routine has seemed to help make my hair look less like I've been rubbing balloons against it all morning. I lift sections of my hair near the roots and spritz a bit of the product underneath. After letting it sit for a few seconds I massage it in and scrunch a bit. Things are less static for my mop but some still lingers. Any tips on how to stop this?

What products have you been loving this month?

xoxo Kayla

  3. Origins Night-a-Mins is hard to beat. I would be interested to read about what you find to replace it with in the summer!
