The 5 Years Tag

Madeline over at Cappuccino and Fashion started this tag after I asked her a question on an instagram photo about where she saw her blog in a five years. She kindly tagged me to answer my very own question and I've found myself thinking a lot about what my answer would be.

1. How long have you been blogging?
I've had my beauty blog for almost a year. It turns one on May 31st and I can't believe how fast time has flown and how much it has changed. I've been blogging for a lot longer that that though. I had a personal blog for almost three years prior to starting my beauty blog. I've long since abandoned it though. I just recently started a lifestyle blog to fill the void though! It's almost a month old!

2. Do you think you'll still be blogging in 5 years?
Definitely. I can't see myself without a blog. I've kept a journal since fourth grade and will always desire a place to put my thoughts and share things. If blogging still exists in 5 years, I'll definitely be doing it.

3. What is something you want to change/improve about your blog?
I really want to start doing more face photos and showing swatches on my lips. Whenever I try these photos I always hate them and decide against doing them. I really want to get better at it and add that new element to my blog. Other than that I'm really happy!

4. Who do you still hope you'll be blogging friends within a few years?
I hope I stay close to all the people I've met through blogging but I really hope I can meet so many more people. This community is amazing and it's awesome to talk to people who share the same interests!

5. What keeps you going when it comes to blogging?
It's definitely the pride I feel when I put up a new post, or when I've posted something every day that week. Plus all my ideas and my ever growing lists of posts make me want to post all the things. Not to mention the wonderful comments and feedback I get every day. That's definitely a serious motivator to keep going!

6. Where do you find inspiration when you're stuck?
I go straight to my lists of post ideas. More often than not I don't want to do most of them, but there's always a gem on there that jump starts my creativity again. Oftentimes though when I'm doing my little photo shoots if a post idea strikes me I just take the photo and return to the idea later. I have tons of photos in my drafts for random post ideas that sprung into my head at the right moment.
