The Unloved #3

These unloved posts really make me nostalgic for products I once was obsessed with. This post in particular. If I would have known that the company that made CQ products was out of business (and almost for a year much to my surprise) I definitely wouldn't have included the eye shadow duo in this post. It makes so much sense now why I can never find any CQ products that I've come to love (the eyeliner crayons were the bomb). I didn't even realize CQ was a brand in itself. I always thought it was Covergirl just spelled weirdly. Smart one Kayla. But I digress. This duo was my go to shadow look for years as I started to explore makeup (read about the journey).

Onto products that still exist. The Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup in "Shell" ($9.99) was my first step into the world of foundation. It started a few months ago and I have since explored quite a number of the drugstore foundation options. I haven't used this foundation in about as much time, but I recall that I really liked it. I wouldn't have explored foundation more if I didn't, right?

Another one of my old favorites that hasn't seen much love is my NYX Eye Shadow Base in "Skin Tone" ($7). I was really doing work on this pot for a while and then suddenly lost interest in it. Honestly I've lost interest in eye primers in general with all the cream shadows I've been using lately. This base is amazing though and I definitely should put it back into my regular makeup rotation.

I can't believe I'm even including my beloved Mirabella Colour Sheers Lipstick in "Daydream" ($22) in this post. I'm not sure if this shade is available anymore, but this product has been well loved. The amount showing is all that is left, but I suddenly stopped using it. While I was sorting through my stash I spotted it and gasped at how long it's been since I've had it's lovely formula on my lips. This is a gem that I'm glad I've rediscovered.

What products have been going unloved in your collection?

xoxo Kayla

  1. I really love these posts! I seem to always buy new mascaras, so I've got quite a few really great mascaras just sitting in my drawers at the moment.

New L'Oreal True Match Foundation post is up on my blog if you fancy having a read:

  2. It's a shame when you forget about products whilst trying others, the Revlon nearly naked is a foundation I keep picking up to try.

  3. Great post! Yes, we all have those products we jumped at getting that now sit sadly in our baskets and shelves! I think I've got some single shadows that haven't been loved in a long time as I've been using my new shiney palettes a lot these few months! Lip products too! Omg, I've got so many I haven't been using!

  4. I always like these "Unloved" posts! My NARS Orgasm blush is unloved right now. I had actually gone through an entire one (literally cleaned the pan out entirely) and repurchased it, but somehow just stopped using it a few months ago! Sad - I'll have to pull it back out for spring.
