Blushing Goodbyes

When it comes to the minimalist life quest, I'm definitely not perfect. I can't escape a good Sephora VIB sale and sometimes I break down in Forever21 and buy a top that I already own and love in a different color. Those weaknesses aside I feel like I'm starting to really make wise purchase decisions and understand what should or shouldn't remain in my life.

Lately I've been eyeing my blush drawer knowing there are a few blushes hiding away in there that I haven't used for ages. They managed to escape my early spring clean, but the time felt right to say goodbye to them. Plus I recently purchased a Bobbi Brown blush trio so I really didn't need all of these. The bottom two are from random brands that I decided to give a go (LiSi Cosmetics and Sleek) and just didn't fall in love with them. The top two are from Revlon and NYX and were once loved, but just aren't ones I reach for that often anymore. They are taking up space and are a perfect means to show a little bit of my minimalist chops.

So they'll be given to friends or disposed of in the best proper method. I honestly won't even miss them in the slightest. I still have a wide selection of blush shades (some would say too many) that will help me along just fine. Now I'll just have to resist the urge to replace them with more shades.

Is there a section in your makeup collection that you know needs to be cleaned out? Are there products that are hanging on even though you don't use them?

xoxo Kayla

  1. Sleek blushes are the best!

  2. I have far too many blushes, they are definetly something i'm always spending my money on! But i do switch up my blushes all the time, so i suppose its ok haha!
